Untapped: Crafting Better Dads
Just a reminder that “Untapped” is gathering THIS Tuesday, Sept. 26 (7pm – 8:30pm-ish) at Monkey Wrench Brewing. Should be a fun evening. There’s no agenda. Just a time to get together, hang out, and enjoy good conversation. For this meeting, it could be fun to have some follow up conversation around the topic that Paul Byrd talked about last week at Dads on Tap, primarily the difference between “task” oriented relationships vs. “connection” oriented relationships, and how to find a healthy balance of both. Paul’s talk was really good!
About “Untapped”
A lot of us guys are new to the Sugar Hill / Suwanee community and/or are working from home and lack regular interaction with anyone outside of our immediate families. Untapped is an opportunity for guys to get out, have a beverage, connect and build friendships. Untapped meets about every 2-3 weeks, and is usually 5-10 guys just hanging out (no program / agenda), so it’s an easy opportunity to have good conversation and get to know a few other guys in the community.
Common Interest
A great way for guys to connect and develop friendships is around common interest. To date, common interests that have been expressed include Kayaking, Hiking, Poker, Indian food cooking, Bourbon Tasting, Soccer (Atlanta United), Muay Thai Martial Arts, Bourbon Pastry Stout beer tasting, Bluegrass music (Everett’s Music Barn), and Craft Brewery Tours. If you see any of interest, let me know and I can get you connect.
FYI… The next “Dads on Tap” is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14 at Monkey Wrench Brewing.
Have a great week!
